Adult Choir
Open to adults with an interest in singing multiple-part music, this choir rehearses in the Chapel every Thursday night from 7:15-8:45 pm and sings every Sunday. While having the ability to read music is an advantage, it is not a requirement! They also participate in special events such as the annual Interfaith Thanksgiving service and the annual Consociation Choir Festival, and they travel to area nursing homes to sing periodically throughout the year.
Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir operates on a 4-week “rotation schedule”, where ringers practice four weeks and play in church the following Sunday. Interested participants may join as many or as few rotations as they wish! No experience is necessary - you simply need to know your right from your left, how to count to four and posess a decent sense of rhythm! Rotation sign-up sheets are posted on the Music bulletin board in Angela Hubley Hall, and they rehearse Tuesday evenings from 7:30-8:30 pm.
Children’s Choirs
All the children of the church have the opportunity to experience music on Sunday mornings. As the children are gathered to go to Sunday School, Kindergarten-4th graders (the “Treble Choir”) meet in the Church House Activity Center for a 10-minute music practice with their Music Leader before going off to their classes. Interested singers from the 5th-8th grades (the “Chancel Choir”) meet with Nathan Bayreuther in the Activity Center following worship to rehearse more advanced music.
