Senior Youth Group Assistant Leader Position
Our Children & Youth Commission is in search of an energetic, dedicated and spiritual leader for our Senior High Youth Group. Could it be you or someone you know? This position is responsible for helping to lead our Thursday night and Sunday night Senior High Youth Group meetings, facilitate faith based discussions, coordinate adult volunteers, lead and supervise Mission Trips, and coordinate fundraising opportunities.
The position requires on average 5 to 6 hours per week, concentrating the majority of leadership during the academic school year.

Junior Youth Group
A fun, dynamic and faith based gathering of 5th – 8th graders! This group meets once a month, with additional special events. Typical activities include game nights at the Church House, holiday celebrations, laser tag, rock climbing, hiking, trip to Heifer International Overlook Farm in Massachusetts, service projects, and more! Meetings begin with ice breaker games, move to activity programming and close with prayer. Members are invited to bring friends for specific events. Senior Youth Group
Weekly meetings are held on most Thursday and Sunday nights. Program focuses on fun team building activities, faith based discussions and devotional time, outreach projects both near and far (Hooverville homeless experience on the Green benefitting local programs, YSOP Youth Service Opportunities Project trip to NYC to work in homeless shelters and soup kitchens, summer trips to the Dominican Republic to build cement homes for families with inadequate shelter, or to Appalachia with the Appalachia Service Project to build and / or reinforce existing structures to make them more habitable for families, and two yearly retreats. Confirmation
The confirmation program invites 9th through 12th graders interested in deepening their relationship with God and their church, to participate. This program is not mandatory, and is driven by the youth’s own interest in affirming their membership in the church. The confirmation program is closely tied to participation in the Senior High School Youth GROUP. Mission Trip News
At the end of Winter Break this year our High School students, in conjunction with other local church youth groups will be going to New York city to work with Youth Service Opportunities Project (www.ysop.org). The YSOP organization is designed for youth programs to come to the city and serve in soup kitchens in various capacities. For more information contact the church office.
Pardee Fund
The Pardee Youth Fund is a trust fund administered by the First Congregational Church of Madison, but kept separate from all other Church funds. The proceeds of this Fund are used to support programs and organizations dedicated to the benefit of the youth of Madison.
