First Church is partnering with IRIS – Integrated Refugee and

Immigrant Services, to sponsor an asylum-seeking family from

the Congo. The family arrived in February of 2020 and has been

doing their best to acclimate to the United States during a pandemic.  

 

Volunteers from the church are involved in coordinating and supporting

them in all aspects of daily life, including English lessons, learning to

ride a bike, shopping for groceries, medical care, rides to appointments, etc.
